Welcome

Welcome to my wild Wicklow garden and welcome to my first ever blog entry. Being a green gardener is one thing but being a green blogger is a whole other ball game, what I lack in expertise I will try to make up for in enthusiasm. I inherited my interest in gardening along with my green fingers from my family. Both of my parents like to keep a nice garden and I have some fond memories of childhood Sundays spent tending to various gardening jobs. Whenever I spend time in my own garden I am always reminded of my late grandmother Mary Cryan. She loved to grow things and took great care and pride in her own garden. Certain flowers will all ways remind me of her, Sweet William, Nasturtium and Lavender. Here on my Wild Wicklow Garden blog I hope to explore and share with you the simplicity, beauty, joy, hard work and sometimes frustration - all of the things that are part of looking after a garden. I look forward to keeping you up to date with day to day events in my corner of the garden of Ireland in county Wicklow.

Sweet William
Lavender
